Cafe #2: Trail Mix

NOTE: IF YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM A PEANUT OR WHEAT ALLERGY,  USE THE SUBSTITUTES BELOW. I should've done that for the post as a heads up for people who have certain allergies, I'll start with this post and work my way up.

Who here has ever tried Trail Mix before? If you haven't, you're not missing out much since I only ate the M&N's from it anyway. I'm not the typical person to eat Nuts on a daily basis, I don't even like Nuts. Why? They're too nutty and too salty. Well so are the French Fries at Mcdonalds, but they don't make me spit it out after 5 seconds....duuuuh! That's why I've created my own Trail Mix recipe to share with you all.

Like the Omelette in a Cup recipe, you can decorate this however you want, I'll just use the ingredients I use in this favorite personal recipe of mine. And if you have any allergies, I'll list the substitutes you can use because I don't want anyone to feel left out when trying something new.

Serving size: About 2-3 people. If you are making it for more than 2-3 people, double the Recipe and make sure to add more Chocolate Chips than Cheerios.

Ingredients: (As stated above, you can either use the Ingredients below or some of your own).

2 Cups of Cheerios (Allergic to Wheat? Use Kix as a sub)

1/2 Cup of Peanut Butter (Allergic to Peanut Butter? Use either Cookie Butter or Coconut Butter)

1/2 Cup of Honey

2 Cups of Dark Chocolate Chips

(If your changing a certain amount of the Recipe, make sure you have the same amount of Chocolate Chips as the Cheerios)

1 Spoon (You might need 2 since this Recipe is kinda of sticky)

1 Bowl

1 Plastic Container

Optional: 1 Knife (To use to scrap the Peanut Butter off the Spoon)

Directions:

1) Pour 2 Cups of Cheerios into a Bowl.

2) Pour 1/2 Cup of Honey into the Bowl.

3) Stir the Ingredients for about 5 minutes.

4) Pour 1/2 Cup of Peanut Butter into the Bowl (You might wanna use an extra Spoon or Knife to scrap it off the Spoon).

5) Stir the Ingredients for another 5 minutes as well.

6) Pour 2 Cups of Dark Chocolate Chips into the Bowl.

7) Stir the Ingredients for 2-3 minutes.

I'll give you two options you can use for the last steps of the Recipe, I highly recommend the first option because, in my opinion, it'll taste better.

Option #1:

1) Place the Ingredients into a Plastic Container for about 2-3 hours or until it's chilled to your liking.

Option #2: Place the Ingredients into a Plastic Container for 30 minutes or until it's chilled to your liking.

Whichever option you choose, bon appetit!

Cafe #1: Omelette In a Cup

Hey, everyone, I've decided to add my own Recipes to the Blog! I know I know, the Blogette looks very different, so different that it even has a new name. I'll explain in an upcoming post, but right now let's focus on a Recipe that I've created that you guys can make at Home without the use of a Stove: Omelette In a Cup. Check it out! Also, "Diaro Del Caffe" translates from "Cafe Diary."

What's the most important meal of the day? Breakfast. Who doesn't like Breakfast? It makes you feel perky after having to drag yourself out of Bed and the Washroom in the morning, and it gives you something to look for when you walk into the Kitchen in the morning. The most common Food that people eat for Breakfast are Eggs, this is because it's been done for centuries, it's rich in protein, and it's healthy. There are numerous of dishes you can create from Eggs for not only for Breakfast but for Lunch and Dinner too. But we'll focus more on the Breakfast part. A few of the Egg Dishes you can have for Breakfast are Sunny-Side Up, Scrambled Eggs, Eggs over Easy, Eggs Benedict, and Omelettes. Did you know you could make Eggs in the Microwave?  Therefore, in today's Recipe, we're going to discuss how to make an Omelette in a Cup.

The good thing about creating an Omelette is that it is one of those foods that you can decorate however you want, and it'll still taste good, take Pizza and Tacos for an example. You have the option of including whatever you want in your Omelette, but I'll just list the Ingredients I use when I make mine. By the way, if you're making it for more than one person, just double the recipe.

Ingredients: (As stated above, you can either use the Ingredients below or some of your own).

1/2 Cup of Chopped Spinach
1/2 Cup of Chopped Tomatoes
1/2 Cup of Chopped Mushrooms
1 1/2 Cup of Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1 Egg (Sometimes I use 2, depending on my Appetite)
2 Sprinkles of Black Pepper
2 Sprinkles of Adobo Seasoning
1/4 Cup of Milk
1 Cup (I recommend either a Coffee Cup or a small Plastic Container, it doesn't necessarily have to be a Cup)
1 Fork
Optional: Egg Whisk

Directions:

1) Crack open an Egg and pour it into your Cup. Then, pour 1/4 cup of Milk inside the Cup.

2) Sprinkle some Black Pepper and Adobo Seasoning inside the Cup.

3) Stir the Cup with a Fork or a Whisk for around 10 seconds.

4) Pour half of 1 1/2 Cup of Mozzarella Cheese in the Cup, keep the other half for later.

5) Pour 1/2 Cup of Spinach into the Cup.

6) Pour 1/2 Cup of Tomatoes into the Cup.

7) Pour 1/2 Cup of Mushrooms into the Cup.

8) Pour the other half of the 1 1/2 Cup of Mozzarella Cheese from before at the Top.

9) Slightly mix the Ingredients, but make sure the Cheese stays at the top.

10) Place the Cup into the Microwave for 1 minute.

11) Take the Cup out of the Microwave, mix it a bit more, and put it back in the Microwave for another 45 seconds or until the Egg starts to rise.

12) Take the Cup out of the Microwave, and enjoy!
