Cafe #13: Chili Dogs

Ring ring! The Cafe has another new recipe! Hello everyone, long time no see. I know it's been a couple of months since I made my last post but I know I keep saying this a lot but I have been busy and mostly lazy. But good news, there is a new recipe I have for you all today that I cooked for dinner last night: Chili Dogs! I was re-watching episodes of some of the Sonic cartoons and saw how much he loved Chili Dogs so I decided to make some and it turned out to be a success! Therefore, in today's new recipe, we are going to make Chili Dogs. Let's get started.

Serving size: 8 people (Because of the amount of Hot Dogs) If you're cooking for more than 8 people, as I always say, double the recipe. Also, I used the Chili With Beans so for those of you who don't like Chili With Beans, I'll post it without the beans. By the way, the cooking time for this should be about an hour.

Cooking time:

Chili: 1 hour

Hot Dogs: 2 minutes

Ingredients:

Chili WITH Beans

3 Cans of Chili WITH Beans

1 Can of Diced Tomatoes

1 Cup of Fresh Diced Tomatoes

1 Cup of Fresh Mushrooms

1 1/2 Cup of Fresh Red Onions

1 Cup of Water

4 Sprinkles of Black Pepper

4 Sprinkles of Chili Powder

3 Sprinkles of Thyme

3 Sprinkles of Parsley

1 pack of Hotdogs (I used Vienna)

Hotdog Buns (I used the ones with the black seeds, specifically the Brownberry brand)

1 pack of Colby Shredded Cheese (I used Kraft)

1 Large Pot (Or a regular pot that won't overflow the recipe)

1 Large Spoon

1 Knife

Instructions:

1) Pour the cans of Chili into the pot.

2) Pour the cup of water into the pot and turn the burner on.

3) Pour the can of Diced Tomatoes into the pot. Stir occasionally.

4) Sprinkle the seasonings into the pot.

5) After cutting up a cup of fresh diced tomatoes, red onions, and fresh mushrooms, pour them (only pour 1/2 cup of red onions) into the pot and keep stirring. Next, pour 1/2 cup of Shredded Cheese into the pot.

6) Let it simmer for about an hour and continue stirring occasionally.

7) Put the Chili in a serving dish.

8) Take some hotdogs and put them in the microwave for about 1 minute or until you hear a sizzling sound.

9) Take the hotdogs out of the microwave and put them into some buns, then place the chili on top of the hot dog, some chopped up red onions, and shredded cheese. Place them into the microwave for 20 seconds.

10) Enjoy!
