Cafe #2: Trail Mix

NOTE: IF YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM A PEANUT OR WHEAT ALLERGY,  USE THE SUBSTITUTES BELOW. I should've done that for the post as a heads up for people who have certain allergies, I'll start with this post and work my way up.

Who here has ever tried Trail Mix before? If you haven't, you're not missing out much since I only ate the M&N's from it anyway. I'm not the typical person to eat Nuts on a daily basis, I don't even like Nuts. Why? They're too nutty and too salty. Well so are the French Fries at Mcdonalds, but they don't make me spit it out after 5 seconds....duuuuh! That's why I've created my own Trail Mix recipe to share with you all.

Like the Omelette in a Cup recipe, you can decorate this however you want, I'll just use the ingredients I use in this favorite personal recipe of mine. And if you have any allergies, I'll list the substitutes you can use because I don't want anyone to feel left out when trying something new.

Serving size: About 2-3 people. If you are making it for more than 2-3 people, double the Recipe and make sure to add more Chocolate Chips than Cheerios.

Ingredients: (As stated above, you can either use the Ingredients below or some of your own).

2 Cups of Cheerios (Allergic to Wheat? Use Kix as a sub)

1/2 Cup of Peanut Butter (Allergic to Peanut Butter? Use either Cookie Butter or Coconut Butter)

1/2 Cup of Honey

2 Cups of Dark Chocolate Chips

(If your changing a certain amount of the Recipe, make sure you have the same amount of Chocolate Chips as the Cheerios)

1 Spoon (You might need 2 since this Recipe is kinda of sticky)

1 Bowl

1 Plastic Container

Optional: 1 Knife (To use to scrap the Peanut Butter off the Spoon)

Directions:

1) Pour 2 Cups of Cheerios into a Bowl.

2) Pour 1/2 Cup of Honey into the Bowl.

3) Stir the Ingredients for about 5 minutes.

4) Pour 1/2 Cup of Peanut Butter into the Bowl (You might wanna use an extra Spoon or Knife to scrap it off the Spoon).

5) Stir the Ingredients for another 5 minutes as well.

6) Pour 2 Cups of Dark Chocolate Chips into the Bowl.

7) Stir the Ingredients for 2-3 minutes.

I'll give you two options you can use for the last steps of the Recipe, I highly recommend the first option because, in my opinion, it'll taste better.

Option #1:

1) Place the Ingredients into a Plastic Container for about 2-3 hours or until it's chilled to your liking.

Option #2: Place the Ingredients into a Plastic Container for 30 minutes or until it's chilled to your liking.

Whichever option you choose, bon appetit!
