The Chicago History Museum/Gold Coast Trip

Once again, guys, I went on another "Travel Log" today and I have more pictures and a heck of a story to tell you. From venturing to the Gold Coast, Macy's, Gold Coast AGAIN, North Avenue to find that darn Subway, annnnd...to the trip I originally only planned for today: The Chicago History Museum. If you're new to Chicago or want more information about the City, you oughta check out the History Museum for the exhibits they have there....or just google the history of Chicago and....meh. Anyways, in today's Log, we're going to discuss my trip to the Gold Coast, the History Museum, and among other tidbits that made up this day. Check it out!

Before we start, I did go to my Grandma's yesterday. I want to focus on what happened today because I always go to my Grandma's and basically, the same "stock-line" continues over and over again. We'll talk more about Grandma's during another time or something. Anyhoo, Breakfast was quick and snappy for me. Cocoa Puffs and Roundy's Orange Juice is the way to go when you're trying to Ninja your way out the House while everyone's sleep as you head to a Museum. Left Mama a note...AGAIN..then walked outside to the bus stop. It was pretty nice outside today, despite the high temperatures. The bus dropped me off at one of the stops in the Gold Coast. Therefore, I decided to walk down Burton to Dearborn to the Museum. Oh my goodness, it looks so pretty in the Gold Coast. I love it there. I loved it even more because my Mom always drove down Dearborn when she was driving me Home from School. I decided to take some pictures as a remembrance of this beauty.

You see the Condo with the American Flag? I hope that maybe one day I could live in it. I checked out one of the Condos they had inside there and one of them has a special room that you could put your makeup on in. Vanity, and even a washroom connected to it. OOPS, I FORGOT. Free admission for Chicago Residents is at 12:30 pm! Which means that I have nothing to do until then....besides head to Michigan Ave and go to Macy's? That's just what I did! Oh, and here's a picture of the Fountain outside the Museum. I also decided to take a couple of more pictures of the Gold Coast:

Anyone recognize the Orange House? It's called the "Luther McConnell House." As a matter of fact, it was featured in the background of a scene in that movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." It was in the restaurant scene. Here's my source:  http://chicagodesignslinger.blogspot.com/2015_02_19_archive.html

The last picture with the Building with the Car in front of it is a Restaurant that I went to when I was about 5/6 years old. I heard a rumor that it shut down, I'm not 100% sure about it though.

To get to Michigan Ave, I had to cut through one of the richest's streets in Chicago besides that street: Oak Street. Who hasn't been to Oak Street before? Me either! Why? Well, there are these things called prices that you should check out there. I also took pictures while walking through there:

I finally made it to Macy's at Water Tower. It was quiet there, mainly because it was so early and the store was still opening up I assumed. Yeah, I don't know what the heck happened last time, but I didn't think a high place like that could have a nasty bathroom. WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT BATHROOM WITH THE VANITY AND THE BODY MIRROR? And who pays $10 for some Socks? Whatever, whatever, whatever. I just came to put off time to wait for the free admission and because I need a new outfit for a Picnic I'm going to next month. After I left, I passed through the Gold Coast AGAIN. I almost started to go to Jewel's, but it was way out of my league and lunch was starting soon. Took North Avenue to Subway...accidentally went down Wells because Google Maps was acting shady...back to North Avenue...then I finally made it to Subway.

After Subway, I FINALLY got a chance to head inside the History Museum. What's that? You have to hold my Shopping Bag until I'm finished? No problem, just don't eat my Subway or ruin my outfit alright? Thank you! Anyways, here are the pictures:

After coming home, Google Fit indicated that I've been walking for 3 hours...new record! And my Mom was a bit upset because she was a bit worried about me. Don't worry, Mama! I'm a big Girl now, I know how to take care of myself! I'm okay! Now, I'm going to take a nap and finish this Log. Thanks for reading it! And here's a couple of more Selfies I took on my way to my rendezvous today:
